It's a few years since my last long distance charity ride, but when IntoUniversity announced its inaugural fund-raising ride for 3-6 May 2019, I leapt at the chance. I came across IntoUniversity through The Queen’s Trust, a grant-making Trust where with my fellow Trustees we worked with some of the leading charities in the UK, selected for their proposition, strategy, governance, impact and sustainability. The Queen's Trust was pleased to be a strategic partner of IntoUniversity which supports young people from the least privileged families to prepare for and gain a university place, something that they might otherwise think is out of reach. For them, it opens up a wider horizon and a brighter future.
Over 6 years I have got to know the team at IntoUniversity well. Visits on behalf of The Queen's Trust to many of their centres all over the country have shown me why their work is so important. Cycling with their peloton between their new centres in Somerset and Essex will be a wonderful way to celebrate IntoUniversity's huge milestones of 30 centres and 100,000 young people supported. With your encouragement we will show how much we care about the future of all young people in the UK.
