OK the photographs are really scary, but it was to grab your attention and I could find no way of deleting it! ...
On September 8th & 9th September, I, along with 27 other intrepid and adventurous A.T. Kearney Londoners, will be taking on the epic Welsh 3000s challenge! We’ve decided to take on 15 peaks / mounds / hills / mountains above 3,000ft in a 48 hour test of determination, endurance and sheep counting. We will go through more than 40km of hiking and scrambling and climb over 3,000m of vertical ascent (you will notice the mixture of imperial and metric measures which is totally consistent with the current UK Brexit strategy).
I would not put myself through this pain, and high likelihood of coming back damaged, if I did not believe in the cause. IntoUnversity is a local charity with a national reach, supporting young people from the poorest backgrounds in the UK to aspire and achieve their full potential - opening up a world of new life-possibilities including professional careers. IntoUniversity provides the relevant support to help young people develop the knowledge, soft skills, attainment levels and experience that they need to succeed in life, through a holistic programme of after-school Academic Support, one-to-one Mentoring and aspiration-raising university, soft-skill and careers-based programmes.
IntoUniversity operates 25 centres in 10 UK cities and towns, each of which works with approximately 1,000 students aged 7-18. Their current locations include: Brighton, Bristol, Clacton-on-Sea, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Nottingham, Oxford, Southampton and Weston-super-Mare.
I want to raise at least £1000 for IntoUniversity, to help them to support even more young people from disadvantaged backgrounds!
