In May I will be cycling 270 miles over four days, my biggest cycling challenge to date! I am cycling to raise money for IntoUniversity and the ride will be from their local learning centre in Weston-super-Mare to their centre in Clacton-on-Sea. IntoUniversity is an education charity that provides local learning centres in disadvantaged communities across the UK, where young people are inspired to achieve. The charity currently operates 30 centres or equivalents in twelve locations in England, with plans to launch further centres over the coming years. In the 2017-18 academic year, IntoUniversity supported over 35,600 children and young people across its network of centres.
This is a charity that is particularly close to my heart as I used to be an IntoUniversity student myself and directly benefitted from their support. They supported me throughout Secondary School and onto university, and I therefore experienced first-hand the transformative impact the charity has on young people. After I graduated from university, I joined IntoUniversity's Graduate Scheme as an Education Worker so I can now support young people in achieving their chosen aspirations.
Wish me luck and with your support I will be motivated to keep cycling!
